Measure your drawer, type the numbers, pick a compartment grid — and get a divider insert made for that exact drawer, every compartment the same size. Drawers bigger than your printer split into tiles that slide together on printed dovetail joints, up to 60 x 60 cm. Kitchen cutlery, desk clutter, workshop screws, makeup — one organizer per drawer, sized to the millimetre.
Your drawer's interior width, side to side, in millimetres. Measure at the narrowest point.
Your drawer's interior depth, front to back, in millimetres.
How tall the organizer walls should be. A few millimetres below the drawer's interior height usually works best.
Compartment columns across the width. All compartments come out the same size.
Compartment rows front to back.
Optional compartment map for bigger compartments: one letter per cell, rows separated by / — repeat a letter to merge cells into one compartment (merges must be solid rectangles). Example for 4 columns x 3 rows: AABB/AABB/CDEF gives two big 2x2 boxes over four small cells. On drawers bigger than your printer, leave at least one unmerged line where the tray can split into tiles. Leave empty for all-equal compartments.
How closely the organizer fills the drawer, and how the dovetail joints run. standard leaves 2 mm of play; snug hugs a carefully measured drawer; loose forgives a tape-measure estimate.
